Mineral Ltd. has a complete production cycle of surface and bulk acoustic wave (SAW and BAW) devices based on piezoelectric quartz. The production cycle involves: the hydrothermal growth of piezoelectric quartz crystals of any known orientation; the crystal wafering; the grinding, polishing, and washing of wafers; the photolithography; the mountingof devices and measurement of their parameters. We can produce quartz-based wafers and acoustic lines with an accuracy of orientation relative to the crystallographic axes of +/- 1 min, with linear dimension up to 350 mm, and the roughness of less than 3 Å. SAWand BAW delaylinesarewidelyusedinthecoding/decoding systems of radio signals.
In addition to piezoelectric quartz-based acoustoelectronic devices Mineral Ltd. has a practice in manufacturing of acoustoelectronic devices based on langasite, yttrium aluminum garnet, zincite, sapphire, and lithium tetraborate.
Mineral Ltd. develops the methods of chemical-mechanical finish machining of new crystals in demand by industry.
